Bozeman is becoming known statewide as "Music City, Montana". Bozeman is home to recording studios, internationally acclaimed, Grammy winning musicians, a PBS show, a symphony orchestra and a dazzling array of musical genres from classical to contemporary. Our panel of working musicians will talk about the business and performance aspects of this robust industry.


Featuring:

Angella Ahn

Angella Ahn, graduate of the Juilliard School, is Associate Professor of Violin and Viola at MSU. With her sisters in the Ahn Trio, she has recorded nine albums, performed in over 35 countries and every state in the U.S. She is active in the community, serving on the Montana Arts Council and the Intermountain Opera Advisory Board, also as the Artistic Director of the Montana Chamber Music Society and Bravo! Big Sky music festival.


Chris Cunningham

A native of Bozeman, Chris Cunningham has been actively contributing and participating in the music business since the late 1980's. His primary focus in recent years is two-fold; both as a recording engineer/producer at his studio, Basecamp Recording located just south of town, as well as writing and performing around the country with his long time award-winning folk duo Storyhill (with John Hermanson).


Eric Funk

Eric Funk is an award winning classical music composer with 172 works in his catalog, recently retired a college music professor after 50 years-20 years at Montana State University where he taught 18,934 students during his 20 years there. He’s the artistic director and host of 11 Emmy Award winning Montana PBS-TV music series “11th & Grant now in its 18th season. 


Paige Rasmussen

Paige Rasmussen is a singer, songwriter and filmmaker from Bozeman MT. Her artistic pursuits have taken her across the U.S., performing in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Austin, Nashville and back again. She is the lead singer and manager for one of Montana's favorite bands, Paige & The People's Band. Her accomplishments include an Emmy award nomination and Tele Award win in 2016 as well as a Family Film Award nomination in 2022 for Outstanding Original Song in a Feature Film.



A series of networking luncheons features vibrant speakers, engaging networking, various awards and drawings for prizes in a fun, collegial atmosphere.
